Aventus first, for the bergamot and birch signature. Green Irish Tweed suits men who want something greener and quieter, and Royal Oud works for evenings and formal wear. Viking and Absolu Aventus are the favorites among men who already know the house.

Aventus For Her leads. Carmina, Queen of Silk and Eladaria were composed for women in recent years, while Love In White and Wind Flowers hold their place for florals. Nothing here is strictly gendered, so wear what you like.

Bright Calabrian bergamot at the top, a pineapple accord at the center, smoky birch and musk at the base. It reads as fresh fruit and cut wood at once, which is why it works in an office and after dark.

Green, in one word. Lemon verbena and iris over sandalwood and ambergris, with a faint mossy edge. It is a fougère, so expect a clean, grassy opening that settles into warm wood.

Bergamot and green tea over blackcurrant and musk. The effect is cool and mineral, closer to wet stone and cold air than to anything sweet.

Six to eight hours on most skin, with the base lingering on fabric much longer. The 100ml and larger formats are eau de parfum strength, so a little goes further than the 30ml.

Four to ten hours, depending on the fragrance, your skin and the climate. Fresh work like Silver Mountain Water sits at the shorter end; oud and amber compositions like Royal Oud and White Amber sit at the longer end.

Raw materials and process. The house works with high concentrations of natural ingredients, then hand-mixes, macerates and matures each batch at Ury. The larger formats (240ml and up) bring the cost per ml down considerably.

Check that the batch code on the bottle matches the box, weigh the glass in your hand, and compare the cap and sprayer to a bottle you trust. Authentic flacons feel heavy for their size, with crisp lettering and no glue around the label. A price far below retail is a warning sign.
